1. If you’re looking for what to read: Here is “Longthroat Memoirs” by Yemisi Aribisala

“Longthroat Memoirs” is not just a collection of food articles, it’s a lot more meaningful than that. It is in many ways, a guide to Nigeria’s culinary practices. Aribisala portrays cooking as the art that it is. There is room for the sex talk too; while not explicit, there is a significant elaboration on food components like snails that have sexual connotations, meals that serve as aphrodisiacs, and a few cooking-pot tricks to capture (and maintain) a man’s attention.

2. If you’re hungry for something new…

Try…The 5-Minutes Microwave French Toast Mug

Here is why you should try it

1. Its fast and easy
2. Its perfect for a single serving breakfast.
3. It reduces waste of leftover food cause you use it all.

1 tsp butter
3 Tbsp whole milk
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch ground nutmeg
1 large egg
1 cup bread pieces

Optional toppings

sliced bananas
powdered sugar
peanut butter
chocolate chips

Place the butter in a large mug and microwave for 15-20 seconds, or until it is melted. Add the milk, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and the egg to the mug and whisk until everything is well mixed.

Add the bread pieces to the mug and gently stir until all the pieces are saturated with the egg and milk mixture. Be careful not to stir too roughly or the bread pieces may fall apart. Let the bread sit and absorb the liquid for about 1 minute.

Microwave the mug for 60-90 seconds, or until the mixture is solid.
